Recognition for Aaron Yeo Kwok Chian

The talented mouth painter Aaron Yeo Kwok Chian had the opportunity to perform a live painting demonstration at a major metro station in the heart of Singapore. During the lunch break, many commuters stopped to watch him paint. He created two SMRT (Singapore Metro) inspired paintings, which he presented to the President of SMRT (Mr. Lam Sheau Kai) as a token of appreciation. Thanks to their support, posters of Aaron Yeo Kwok Chian are now hanging in stations, trains and public places across Singapore.

A YouTube video titled “Living alone paralyzed from the neck down”, which has already been viewed over 328,000 times, tells the story of Aaron Yeo Kwok Chian. This video highlights his journey of living with quadriplegia and how painting has helped him overcome challenges.

Aaron Yeo Kwok Chian had the honour of meeting the President of Singapore, Tharman Shanmugaratnam, and the First Lady, Ms Jane Ittogi. On this occasion, the artist presented the President with a portrait he had painted. The President was so impressed by his works that he purchased his painting Feeding Frenzy to display at the Istana, the official residence of the President of Singapore.
