From 29 to 31 August, 18 British mouth and foot painters met for a conference at St James Park in Burton on Trent to discuss their art, the Association and possible public relations work.
Organised by Tom Yendell, Board Member of the VDMFK, the event was also attended by key representatives of the Association and the British Mouth and Foot Painting Artists’ Publishing House. The main topic of the event was the various painting techniques, but the areas of artist evaluations and social media presence were also discussed in depth.
The renowned English mouth painter and long-standing Member of the Association Alison Lapper gave a motivating talk about her personal career.
On the last day of the conference, a panel discussion was held on the topic of Communication and the ‘International VDMFK Day’ on 5 September was announced.
