Born on 30 October 1964 in Kita-Kyushu. Since birth Takuya Satoh has been suffering from poliomyelitis and is unable to move his limbs. He attended a primary school for disabled children and completed high school. In 1985 he became seriously involved in mouthpainting. In 1986 he had his first personal exhibition at the town hall in Kita-Kyushu. In 1998 he won the first prize at a painting "Grand-Prix" in Watabohshi.
