Born on 1 August 1974 in Clearlake, Texas. When diving into very shallow water he suffered a C4/5 luxation and as a result became quadriplegic (in the year 2000). Even prior to his accident Jared Dunten was involved in painting and had developed a unique painting style. After his fateful accident, his family and friends encouraged him to continue painting by holding the brush in his mouth. His themes include tributes to Picasso, portraits of friends and sinister impressionistic works. Jared is also a writer. He writes advertisements for a large company in Austin and is currently writing a book about what it is like to be paralysed. Currently he also sits on the board of the "Lone Star Paralysis Foundation".
